The 5 Day Miracle Diet by Adele Puhn is another decreased carbohydrate diet plan obsessed with the idea that you can control cravings by keeping blood sugar levels low. These diets always use the inocous word "balance" to describe the strategy of cutting back or cutting out carbohydrate/ sugar intake. So, in reality, they believe that by decreasing sugar levels in your blood that it in turn decreases your cravings for more high-calorie high-sugar foods.

One could go on and on about the 5 Day Miracle Diet, low carb diets in general, glycemic diets and all these diets which are obssesed with blood sugar, but in order to cut through all the nonsense, marketing and bad advice you need to ask yourself one simple question: does the diet regimen/food plan sound like a plan you could follow in the long-term?
