Acutrim Review

Acutrim is a stimulant which is a decongestant and an appetite suppressant. The active ingredient in Acutrim is the infamous compound called phenylpropanolamine. Its is an FDA approved, over-the-counter appetite suppressant to be used for weight control. The drug has shown to be effective in controlling excessive eating in the short-term.

Acutrim acts similarly to its chemical relative amphetamine. The phenylpropanolamine acts on the hypothalamus, the region of the brain that controls the appetite, by increasing the amount of serotonin. This increases the feeling of being full, thereby decreasing appetite.

Expensive and certainly not a very sensible way to lose weight. And forget about long-term weight loss.
