Anorex (aka Leptoprin) Review
"Leptoprin" is now known as "Anorex." It is a weight loss supplement in pharmacy-like packaging and is made by the same manufacturer as Zantrex and Relacore. It is an ephedrine-free stimulant, containing the ingredients caffeine and other herbal stimulants. It is marketed to "the significantly overweight". Accordingly, it is not meant for the "casual dieter" looking to lose a few pounds. Hmm...
Anorex claims to be the only weight-control supplement designed to help you overcome your genetic links to obesity. No research is provided to support such a claim. The marketing is clever; targeting the supplement to seriously overweight people will entice those interested in losing less ambitous totals to give it a try. Anorex is very expensive at $163 a bottle retail.
This manufacturer also sells another diet supplement called Leptopril, which is the same thing as Anorex, but is only $75 a bottle. ????
The bottom line with diet pills and supplements is that they have side-effects which make taking them in the long-term unreasonable. Quit taking them and the weight usually comes back. If any diet pills worked in the long-term they would be produced by big pharmaceutical companies, not multi-level marketing companies, infomercials and obscure websites. With the epidemic of obesity in the United States they would be impossible to avoid.
