The Big Breakfast Diet Review

The Big Breakfast Diet by Dr. Daniela Jakubowicz advocates eating a 600 to 850 calorie breakfast before 9 a.m. This strategy will increase your metabolism by taking advantage of your body's circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms are physical, mental and behavioral changes that follow a 24-hour cycle, responding primarily to light and darkness in our environments.

On The Big Breakfast Diet, you can eat anything you want as long as you also consume foods rich in protein and fiber. Protein, because it keeps you fuller longer and high fiber carbohydrates for needed energy right away in the morning. The diet advocates the 600-850 calorie breakfast and 600 more calories divided between lunch and dinner.

If her "turbocharged plan" does not contain enough calories for you (1200-1450 calories), she advises a more relaxed plan, allowing you almost any amount of calories you desire, just as long as you're load up before 9 AM.

If you have read many of our reviews at chasefreedom.com you will know we don't indulge the authors of these diets with long-winded analyses of their "theories", which are really just technical jargon filler for the marketing schemes that are their books. Circadian rhythms, hormones, and all the "science" behind the Big Breakfast Diet is all just a smokescreen for some pretty basic concepts: 1200-1450 calories per day is a starvation diet for anyone other than a waifish, thin person. Very-low calorie diets fail almost universally in the long-term. When you go off these type of plans, most people crash very hard and gain the weight back. As far as the timing strategy of eating in the morning, well, that's just unscientific common sense: you burn your calories if you eat them before physical activities. At night, your calories sit in your system as you wind down your physical activity for the day and sleep.

Here's a another little secret, weight loss experts and diet pill manufacturers know that most people eat the bulk of their high-calorie sweets in the evenings and at night. You tell dieters they can't eat at night or after lets say 8 PM, that keeps them from consuming a good chunk of the calories that make them overweight. They're all just schemes to get you to eat less. Period.
