Cookie Diet Review

Created by Dr. Sanford Siegel, a family practice doctor, the original "Cookie Diet" claims his cookies have amino acids that suppress appetite enabling you to be faithful to your weight loss plan. They are available online at cookiediet.com in chocolate, raisin or coconut flavors. Unfortunately, even Dr. Siegal admits the cookies don't taste very good.

The cookies were originally only available to the patients in his practice, but now that has all changed and they are quite the rage. What exactly is the diet regimen? The Cookie Diet is a very low-calorie diet, in which six special cookies are eaten during the day with eight glasses of liquid, in addition to dinner that consists of 6 ounces of lean protein and one cup of vegetables. Total calorie count is about 800 calories per day and total carbohydrates is about 70 grams per day.

800 calories per day? Wow, that's a starvation diet, pure and simple. Have any of us ever had long-term success on a diet by starving ourselves? No.

As long as you keep the number of calories you consume down, you're going to lose weight, no matter what you eat. If you are looking for an expensive snack to ward off the hunger then Dr. Siegiel's cookies are right up your alley, but you're not going to lose a bunch of weight and keep it off for good by eating cookies and starving yourself.
