The Diet Solution Program was created by Isabel De Los Rios, a nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle expert. The main focus of the Diet Solution is determining your metabolic type and following corresponding dietary guidelines to maximize the efficiency of your weight loss. To determine metabolic type you answer a series of questions and are then categorized as a protein, carbohydrate or mixed type. For each type a diet is prescribed and detailed menus are provided. Processed foods and those that the body immediately turns to sugar such as simple carbohydrates are to be avoided in favor of more complex carbs, natural fats, fruits and vegetables. You keep a food journal of everything you eat, not to track calories, but to identify which foods make you feel satisfied and which don’t, in order to maximize the efficiency of your diet. Recommended foods include: organic meat and poultry, organic eggs, fish, dairy products, nuts and seeds, fruit, vegetables, sweet potatoes, coconut and olive oil, butter, flaxseed, avocado, sprouted breads, raw chocolate and foods high in omega 3 such as as salmon.
The Diet Solution recommends an exercise program that includes a balanced of interval strength and cardiovascular training. The basic downloadable e-book program costs about $50. A deluxe version is also available for $60, which includes extra audio downloads.
The Diet Solution Program may have some pitfalls in the long-term with its abolition of foods that people love like sugar and breads, but it does give you a laser focus on how to make your body burn calories.
