Diet Teas Reviews
We have posted reviews and information for most diet teas. Our reviews are written by our editorial board, along with past visitors to our website.
There are two kinds of diet teas:
1. Stimulants that act as fat burners and/or appetite suppressants. Side effects include: increased blood pressure, elevated heart rate, nervousness, headaches and sleeplessness. Examples of ingredients include ephedra, kola nut, synephrine, synthetic chromium and guarana, to name a few.
2. Laxatives or diuretics that promote the loss of large amounts of body fluid (water). Unlike fiber-based laxatives such as psyllium husks (Metamucil), these stimulant-laced laxatives become addictive to your system and are eventually needed to function. Some of the most common are senna, locust plant, cassia angustofolia, cascara and buckthorn. These products are hazardous to your health in the long-term.
