Fastin was at one time a brand name for prescription-only Phentermine, an appetite suppressant prescribed by doctors to treat obesity. Prescription-only Fastin is no longer on the market. But be warned: there is a non-prescription diet pill called Fastin on the market now which does not contain Phentermine. Its manufactuer, Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals (which has no connection to prescription-only Phentermine or the original Fastin), very clearly DOES NOT go to any trouble to differentiate between the two, or clarify that new, over the counter Fastin has nothing in common with old, prescription Fastin besides the name. (Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals bought the trade name when prescription Fastin was discontinued.)

New Fastin is a fat burner a'la the hundreds of others available without prescription, and without any scientific evidence to support claims of effectiveness.

The merits of diet pills prescription or over the counter notwithstanding: stay away from any "health care" company which would engage in deceptive business practices of this type.
