"Five Factor Diet"

Review

"Five Factor Diet" by celebrity fitness trainer Harley Pasternak, is one of the hot new diets. The concept is a 5 week diet and exercise plan where you eat 5 meals a day, made from 5 ingredients that takes 5 minutes to prepare each, with one cheating snack per day. In addition, you exercise five minutes a day for 5 days per week. The "Five Factor Diet" promotes lean proteins, whole foods, fruits and vegetables.

The "Five Factor Diet" is a sensible plan based on sound science and advice: eat a balance of foods in appropriate amounts and exercise regularly. So why the hokey gimmicks with all the 5's? Strategizing your food intake is helpful to control yourself, but if you're really interested in long-term weight loss success you need to think a bit more comprehensively about your lifestyle. People who lose siginificant weight and keep it off almost all follow the same sensible strategies: balanced nutrtion with portion control, daily exercise and most importantly they find a long-term motivation to keep the weight off. That motivation may be running, rock climbing, tennis, dancing, surfing, or simply more ambitous walks around the neighborhood with the dog.
