Herbalife's product offering includes weight loss products such as Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix, which is a meal replacement shake. It was one of the first products introduced by the company. Other products offered by Herbalife range from dietary supplements made from vitamins, minerals and herbs to personal care products emphasizing nutritional and herbal ingredients. Herbalife is distributed by independent distributors and has had a bit of legal trouble. They settled out of court on a class action lawsuit on behalf of 8700 distributors, accusing them of "essentially being a pyramid scheme."

A book could be written about Herbalife and its products, but it does not seem necessary in my opinion. They sell "weight management products," which I term diet pills and supplements. In general, almost no one loses weight in the long term taking supplements and pills. Healthy diet and exercise sustained indefinately is the only strategy that works.
