This diet pill gets a lot of play on the internet, probably because it combines two very popular supplement ingredients in one pill - Hoodia Gordonii and Advantra-Z (similar to synephrine). Nuphedrine makes the standard diet pill promises - it will help you burn fat and calories more rapidly, suppress your appetite, shed the unwanted pounds, etc. Its website features a series of before and after photos - always, of course, with the disclaimer that the results are not typical - of people who've lost a ton of weight, look toned, etc. Always remember that the before and after testimonials on weight loss product websites are very often paid endorsements - making the results, of course, seriously not typical.
In any event, Nuphedrine touts its merits as the only pill to give you real, certified (like, papers, and everything) hoodia from South Africa (there is much controversy on the internet over "fake" hoodia, as it is an endangered species of plant) and "Advantra-Z", which is a patented compound of synephrine (the chemical sibling, with the same effects, of ephedra). There is much ballyhoo over the effectiveness of hoodia as an appetite suppressant - but the bottom line is that no clinical studies have effectively proven it. (Trust that if they had, you'd be buying hoodia from big-pharm names like Glaxo and Pfizer, not rinky-dink internet outfits.) As to the Advantra-Z - well, somebody went to the time and expense to whip up a synephrine cocktail and patent it, thereby allowing them to give it a professional, pharmaceutical sounding name - like something your doctor would prescribe. But synephrine is widely used and available in diet pills, as it is identical in behavior to ephedra, and we all know how that works. It's a stimulant - an upper, essentially - so it will probably decrease your appetite while assuredly increasing your heart rate, etc. (There is another, lesser known and so less touted, ingredient in Nuphedrine. It's called "SlimaLuma", and it's an alleged appetite-suppressing plant like hoodia, except it's from India, not Africa.)
