Oolong Tea Review
Oolong (Wu-Long) has become popular as a diet supplement and weight loss aid. Its proponents claim it aids in burning fat and suppressing appetite better than green tea. It is said that Oolong tea was first produced in China hundreds of years ago during the Ming Dynasty by a villager named Wu Liang. He had picked several pounds of mountain tea leaves one day and neglected to dry them right away. The next day, he discovered the tea leaves had fermented. He fried the tea and to his surprise, the tea was not bitter and tasted good. Wu Liang taught others to make the tea and it soon became popular. They named it Wu Liang (Wu-Long) tea. By later generations, the tea was called Wu-Long in China and Oolong in foreign countries.
Advocates and sellers of Oolong Tea claim the tea burns significantly more calories than Green Tea by reducing the fattening effects of carbohydrates and reducing absorption of saturated fat. In addition, they claim drinking Wu-Long tea makes your skin look younger, your teeth healthier, and strengthens your immune system. Oolong Tea is to be consumed 15 minutes before breakfast and in the afternoon before eating for the most benefit.
Commentary: I could get into the active ingredients and procedure for producing the tea, but my common sense is forcing me to get to my opinion sooner than later. We all know why we're overweight: we eat too much of the wrong things and don't do enough exercise. Oolong Tea might assist in losing a few pounds temporarily, but long-term weight loss is going to come from being honest with yourself and making permanent lifestyle changes that will make you lose weight and feel better.
