P90X Review

P90X is another product from the Beachbody fitness empire and "Power 90" trainer Tony Horton, P90X is Power 90 on steroids. Here we have 12 workout DVDs which are hour-long routines focused on specific parts of the body, with names like Chest and Back, Shoulders and Arms, Yoga X, Plyometrics, Legs and Back, Shoulders and Triceps, Core Synergistics, Ab Ripper X and Cardio X. Horton incorporates the concept of continually shifting and changing up the moves - what he calls "Muscle Confusion" - to prevent plateauing and keep it interesting. Though stretching, yoga and cool-down figure into these workouts, note that this is an intense exercise regimen. If you're a beginner or consider yourself out of shape, it's advisable to get your feet wet and start getting fitter with Power 90, or another less intensive program.

P90X recently got a nice plug from superfit songstress Sheryl Crow, when she touted her success with it in an interview on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. Though it may be pricey for some, the P90X program is unquestionably a solid, effective at-home exercise regimen. Along with the DVDs you receive a comprehensive 3-phase nutrition plan, guidance on supplements, a detailed fitness guide, a progress calendar and access to online support.
