"Popcorn Diet" Information and Review
One of the latest fad diet is the "Popcorn Diet." It follows in the wake of many other diets that single out specific foods that are healthy and attempt to make an entire diet revolve around them. Examples include the Cabbage Soup Diet, The Peanut Butter Diet, and the Ice Cream Diet. Mostly these diets exist as cover material and filler for magazines that fill the displays at supermarket checkout stands. The name "Popcorn Diet" suggests that dieters eat only popcorn, but this diet mainly involves eating basic, healthy nutrition while snacking on popcorn. You can expect to a low fat diet with lots of vegetables. Such a diet with exercise is going to lead to weight loss if continued indefinitely with or without the popcorn. The Popcorn Diet is going to get bland quickly. The bland taste of non-buttered and salted popcorn can make it difficult to stay on this diet. Lots of corn in a diet tends to clog the digestive tract and corn is a common allergen, which may cause breathing problems, hives, and gastrointestinal upsets. The bottom line question with all diets is it sustainable in the long-term? If the answer is no, then it is a complete waste of your time, energy and health. Eat healthy and add daily exercise to your life and you'll find the true miracle diet. |
