Power 90 Review

In-home boot camp by Tony Horton

Balanced Review: "Power 90" is better than most ftiness weight loss programs because its primary focus is on exercise, which is the most important trait of weight loss. It is the one thing in common with all diets that succeed in the long-term. Power 90 focuses on shaping and toning specific muscle groups in a progression for maximum efficiency of fat burning. Power 90 is basically a cardio aerobic exercise program that includes aspects of repitition weight training and pilates. It's sold on a slick infomercial and website and costs about $60 plus s/h.

The problem with "Power 90" is that it may be too positive. A new body in only 90 days? By marketing it as an "easy" way to look like a professional body builder the average person is given a far too optimistic picture of what is possible in the short-term. Anything that sounds too good to be true probably is. Power 90 also pushes diet supplements, whose safety and effectiveness are in question.

I am also not a fan of exercise videos for weight loss and fitness. It is exercise for exercise's sake. Most people after an initial burst of motivation fail to maintain these types of workouts. The kind of exercise that sustains itself for the long-term is a more well-rounded health club regimen or lifestyle exercise sports like tennis, hiking, biking, climbing, dancing, etcetera... These are the types of activities that you don't think of as exercise and will lead to a lasting victory over your weight problems. Find a basic food plan or choose one of the inexpensive/sensible online programs, add lifestyle sports and you have all the ingredients of the best possible option.
