Sensa- The Sprinkle Diet Review
What Is the Sensa Diet? Also called the "Sprinkle Diet." The appetite suppressing "sprinkles" were created by Dr. Alan Hirsch MD, founder and neurologic director of the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago, Illinois. Sensa sprinkles are food flakes you put on food as you would salt or sugar. They are purported to enhance the scent of the food while adding either a mildly salty or sweet taste. They are made from maltodextrin, carmine, tricalcium phosphate, soy, and milk. Savory flavors include parmesan and cheddar cheese, onion, horseradish, and ranch salad dressing. Sweet flavors include cocoa, spearmint, banana strawberry, raspberry, and malt.
All the sensa flakes are calorie-free, sugar-free, sodium-free, and gluten-free. Sensa is intended to work with your sense of smell, fooling your brain and stomach into thinking you're full. A one-month Sensa starter kit costing $59, and a 6-month kit at an introductory rate of $235, are available on the Sensa web site.
Sensa "clinical studies" on effectiveness have not been validated by a third party or an actual clinical trial, nor published in a peer-reviewed medical journal.
Does this plan pass the smell test? No, clearly it does not.
