7 Day Diet Review

There are many versions of the 7 Day Diet floating around the internet, all promising miraculous, rapid weight loss. All 7 Day Diets are classic low-calorie (read: starvation) fads that have never been recommended by medical professionals, and result in, at best, water weight loss and a miserable seven days. Following is the most familiar version:

  • Monday
Eat only fruit - as much fruit (and juice) as you wish of all types except bananas.
  • Tuesday
Eat as many vegetables (and as much vegetable soup) as you wish.
  • Wednesday
Combine your Monday & Tuesday plans. (Fruit but no bananas, juices, vegetables, vegetable soups)
  • Thursday
Eat 5 bananas and drink 5 glasses of whole milk.
  • Friday
Eat 4 servings of meat (beef, chicken or fish, 3 oz each) and unlimited green vegetables.
  • Saturday
Eat 4 servings of meat (beef, chicken or fish, 3 oz each) and unlimited green vegetables.
  • Sunday
Eat 4 servings of meat (beef, chicken or fish, 3 oz each) and unlimited green vegetables.

Sound like fun? Not really. It's also not healthy, not possible to sustain, and not in any way a miraculous weight loss cure. And what's with the hating on bananas?
