Skinny Bitch Review

The "Skinny Bitch" advocates a vegan diet for health and weight loss. It also advocates veganism as part of a more general advocacy of animal rights. Factory farming and animal cruelty are discussed. The authors also warn against alcohol, caffeine, refined sugar and chemical additives to food. The "Skinny Bitch" became popular when former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and actress Jessica Alba were photographed carrying the book. The authors have also published a companion cookbook titled "Skinny Bitch in the Kitch".

Vegan basically means only consume food of vegetable origin. Vegetarian diets are basically healthy and far superior to low-carb, but most experts would argue that perhaps a more balanced diet would be better. The real issue that lumps vegetarian diets in with all the others that fail so miserably in the long-term is sustainability. No dairy, no meat, no unrefined sugar, no caffeine or alcohol. Does this sound like something that you'd be able to follow in the long term? If not, there is little point in undertaking such a diet plan. The few people who actually lose weight and keep it off pretty much all followed the same strategies: balanced nutrition with portion control, daily exercise and they discovered a long-term motivation to keep the weight off. That motivation for most is a lifestyle that requires a level of fitness to be able to do fun things like run, cycle, hike, surf, swim, dance, etc...
