Authored by nutritionist Ann M. Fletcher MS, RD in 1994, "Thin for Life" is a clinician's analysis of the weight loss battle, as learned from years of counseling overweight clients through their ups and downs. A revised edition of Thin for Life- with updated information on diet, nutrition, yoga, etc. - was released in 2003. Thin for Life is chock full of nutrition and diet information, a strong emphasis on the necessity of regular exercise, a 6 week weight control plan complemented with recipes, and - this is the real value in the book - Fletcher shares stories, advice and tips from over 200 formerly overweight people (she calls them "masters of weight loss") to inspire, motivate and encourage the reader to also be thin for life. Out of the interviews she conducted with these "masters", Fletcher developed what she believes are the 10 keys to weight loss success:
