Its primary focus is on exercise, namely walking, which is the most important aspect of long term weight loss. She offers several different mail order video tapes with various walking workouts that involve weights, in order to incorporate a full body workout. In addition, she sells diet meal cards that have a daily menu of simple, low-fat, recipes. Her workouts are low impact and meant for anyone at any stage of a diet and are flexible enough to be used on any day and in any weather conditions. The program is offered on DVD and can be purchased online.
The "Walk Away the Pounds" series of DVDs has expanded to include a companion book with photographs, Yoga and Pilates, abs and upper and lower body toning workout DVDs. All of the workouts can be done inside the home. Also, she sells fitness accessories like stability balls, weights, etc...
"Walking Away the Pounds" DVDs are filled with basic common sense, and are cheaper and more convenient than a health club. The program's primary focus on exercise is where your focus should be for long term weight loss success. The only real issue I have with this program is that I find walking mundane and hard to get motivated for. I find lifestyle exercise activities like tennis, hiking, cycling, climbing, etcetera... much more enjoyable. Add a basic food program or one of the simple and inexpensive online programs for structure and support, and you have the best possible option for success.
