Wii Fit Review
The "Wii Fit" is a new home exercise game/activity to be used on Nintendo's Wii gaming system. The game itself costs $90, while the gaming system retails for $250. Only one participant at a time can use the system unless you buy multiple exercise boards. There are many additional accessories you can purchase, for example: protective sleeves for the Wii board or yoga mats that vary in size. The game/program does not provide diet or weight loss instructions.
This is a clever entry by Nintendo into the ever growing weight loss and diet craze. If "Wii Fit" works for you than it seems like a perfectly decent home exercise alternative. Problem is, most people get bored and eventually quit using their home exercise machines. That's why we are much bigger fans of lifestyle exercise activities like hiking, running, cycling, or anything else that get's you out having fun and building your fitness level for the long term. Most people ultimately fail at weight loss because they don't follow the permanent sensible strategy of balanced nutrition with portion control and especially the addition of sustainable daily exercise. In my opinion staying indoors with a "video game" console isn't the best alternative.
